If you are thinking about adding a bedroom to your home, or to a home you want to buy, there are many ways to add a new bedroom into your existing spaces. Remodeling to add a bedroom can be easier and cheaper than adding an addition onto the home.

What rooms can you remodel?

Most of us have space in our homes that we don’t use. These can easily be converted to a bedroom.

If you have room in your basement, this is a perfect area to add a room or two. And can add more value to your home. The one thing you would have to remember to do with a basement room is the installation of an egress window for each room if you don’t have them already. Basements are also easier to make rooms in especially if you have an open basement already. All you have to do is put up some walls and doors and your all set! You may even want to add a kitchen!

And what about those massive entry ways that are two-stories. You can close those up and can convert them into more rooms for the second floor.

Another awesome spot is the attic if you have one. You can create multiple bedrooms and a hang out for children and guests.
